This quote came to mind this evening. The other day I realized my vision has been degenerating even more. Things that I know I could see not too long ago (like a month or two maybe?) I can’t see now. I could sometimes follow my boyfriend’s video games when he played with a friend but now I know I’m missing way too much visually because I can’t follow them. It gets really frustrating. I knew I was “legally blind” and thought I was pretty blind but then when you lose even more vision you realize that you weren’t as blind as you thought, or really you have a lot more vision that you could lose. I’m adapting to the loss of course, many thanks to my wonderful guide for helping me with that, but it’s still one of those things that you go “Humph,” about. With RP, you don’t lose your vision all at once and you don’t have moments where you’re like “Yep, I JUST lost some vision,” you have moments in life when you realize that you can’t seem something or you’re having more trouble with something that you know you used to be able to do or see just fine.
