Mommies with Guides

This is a really cool group that I wanted to share with you all. I am not a mother, of course, but I find this group very neat. I know it has been very supportive to a few friends who are mothers and have active lifestyles when they were trying to figure out if a guide was right for them.

This group meets via conference call once a month but they also often get together for those who are nearby other members. The founding members live in Portland, Oregon, where one of the campuses is for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

I love all the support that guide dog handlers give to others. Such an awesome community!
